Renewable Energy Certificates (RECs) do not contain electricity. A REC represents the environmental benefits of 1 megawatt hour (MWh) of renewable energy that can be paired with electricity. Entergy Green Select – Large volume is a Green-e® Energy certified REC product. Entergy Louisiana is also supplying your electricity. Green-e® Energy has only certified the RECs, which may be sourced from outside of your local electricity distribution area. Yes. The initial term of agreement under Entergy Green Select – Large Volume shall be for a one-year period and shall automatically be extended for successive periods of one year each until terminated by written notice given by one party to the other not more than six months nor less than two months prior to the expiration of the original term or any anniversary thereof. Customers who withdraw Entergy Green Select – Large Volume will not be eligible to re-enroll in this service until the seventh (7th) billing month following such withdrawal.
If I want to terminate this agreement / contract, what is the early termination fee?
In the event that a Customer seeks to terminate electric service or withdraw from Entergy Green Select – Large Volume during the term of the agreement, the Company reserves the right to assess the Customer a fee to reimburse the Company for the cost of RECs obtained on behalf of the Customer for the remainder of the one-year term of the agreement.
What are the enrollment options?
Before taking service, customers will select a fixed amount of monthly kWh (that must be at least 500,000 kWh per month) to match with renewable energy credits. The quantity of monthly kWh may be changed no more than one time in a six-month period.
What other fees might I be charged?
Late charges of up to 5% of the first $50.00 and 2% of any additional amount above $50.00 for bills that are unpaid for more than 20 days. You must also pay all applicable federal, state, and local taxes and charges.
How will I be billed?
You will receive a monthly bill for Entergy Green Select – Large volume within your monthly utility bill from Entergy Louisiana. Entergy Green Select – Large volume is a Renewable Energy Certificate (REC) product. The price of RECs is in addition to your charges for electricity. You will be charged separately for your electricity charges from Entergy Green Select – Large volume.
